    Work

I can go on and on about how many years I have been doing photography, but simply put I have been shooting for over half my life, and have shot so much film I couldn’t even begin to imagine what the real number is.  I graduated from art school in Colorado, specializing in architectural photography and receiving the highest honors at the time of graduation for my architectural portfolio (the first ever).  That landed me a job in central Illinois shooting architecture for a company all over the country for about 4 years.  After driving over 250,000 miles, Michelle and I decided to start a family and a business in Colorado.  We could of never imagined portraits would be our primary focus, but every year we love it more and more.

    Play

Never in a million years would I have thought I would have three boys.  Not that I didn’t want kids, but just never really thought about it.  Most of my “play” section could be renamed to “damage control” because that is what we seem to do around the house most of the time.

One of my most favorite things to do is grab a meal with my awesome bride Michelle, and since she is such a foodie, she usually has some good recommendations on where we should eat :)  Also we plan to complete the Beau Jo’s Challenge one day.

Activities?  Yep… I do them :)  Michelle doesn’t like to give me ideas of new things to try because I will most likely do them.  My most favorite one though is snowboarding, and try to get out as much as possible to enjoy Colorado powder and awesome mountain views.  I love to watch hockey and have played a little bit as well.  We stay pretty active, love being outside with our family and of course shoot some photos most of the time as well.
