Tom + Mary’s first look has to be by far one of my favorites. I just love the look on Tom’s face as he was waiting for Mary to walk up to him. These two people are so in love and so perfect for each other.
I really love first looks. When Zach + I got married, we did not see each other before the wedding. It really wasn’t until recently that I understood the reason behind whey first looks are so great. For those of you that don’t know, first looks are when the couple opt to see each other before hand. But, it’s not like you just stroll out of the room and meet up in the elevator. No, Zach + I coordinate with each other so we can get the groom to a designated meeting spot and have him face away from where the bride will enter in at. Then we back up and capture the moment unfold. I love that our couples get to enjoy a minute (or 15) with each other before the craziness of the event begins.
After Tom + Mary’s first look we did all of the bride + groom portraits, the wedding party portraits, and all the family portraits right there on the church’s property. Mary and I had discussed back and forth about wondering downtown a bit for pictures, but in the end, she wanted to keep things simple. And in the end, we still got to get some amazing wedding photos for them to cherish! Plus, during dinner, we snuck them away for a quick 5 minutes for one last amazing image with the gorgeous view of downtown Denver.
